The problem with Penn is simple; he's never beaten a great fighter. He's beaten some decent to good fighters, but never a great fighter.

Bj (cry baby) penn, is the worst loser (always complaining and making excuses for his losses). Gsp has beaten him on both occasions. And after rory retires cry baby penn, there will be no reason the fight will ever happen. I think Bj is a really talented fighter but now your saying gsp is faking his injury? And the last fight between him gsp just took advantage of bj's little gas tank (always gasses out after 2 rounds) then gsp smashed his little head in till they had to stop the fight. Grease? Shut up!

Matt Hughes at the time was a great fighter.
Kenny Florian at the time was a great fighter.
Diego Sanchez at the time was a great fighter.
Sean Sherk at the time was a great fighter.
Takanori Gomi at the time was a great fighter.

Get the trend? All of Penn's major names that he beat WERE great fighters, but they aren't anymore. The last person BJ Penn that was of note was Diego Sanchez, his KO over Hughes wasn't anything special as Hughes has a glass chin and was at the end of his career anyways, besides the Hughes KO he has gone 0-3-1 in his last 4 before he beat Sanchez.

I think i would of started with BJ fought at heavyweight against Lyoto Machida. He fought Lyoto to a decision. People like Rashad Evans was KOd big time from Lyoto. I think GSP needs to go fight Lyoto.

WAR BJ PEEN!

Yeah Hendo defeated the best HW of all time in Fedor. . .

That was his ONLY fight at HW, hardly enough to consider him a HW fighter. Honestly I wouldn't consider him a MW fighter either since the last time he fought at MW in the UFC was 2008.

Rich franklin - 2009 UFC 93, Micheal Bisping - 2010 UFC 100, Jake Sheilds - 2010 Strikeforce nashville, All at MW.
Anger he smiles towering in shiny metallic purple armour

Franklin was a LHW fight. Bisping was in 2009, and Shields was in strikeforce (I specified in the UFC)

Lol Hughes is the most one dimensional fighter of his time. Florian had zero KO power, overrated BJJ, and a poor base, Sanchez feasted on scrubs to pad his record, Sherk had zero reach, no BJJ, and was on steroids, and Gomi is overrated. Just stop already with trying to justify Penn's career. All of these guys you mentioned were average to good fighters.

You must be confused, I am in no way trying to justify Penn's career. It is what it is.
