THANK YOU. i think you could have made a case njok won, but it was hella close. but i am still not sure how barboza got the decision against pierson. with some questionable decisions you can at least see the logic, maybe a guy didnt land as much but the shots he landed were very damaging (wanderlei/bisping), or a guy pushed the pace and landed more punches against a guy that didnt throw his hands enough (rampage/machida). but pierson pushed the pace and landed more, and never really got rocked, so i just dont understand that decision at ALL.

i think thats what annoys me the most about the barboza hype. he could very easily be 1-2, yet because of some questionable judging and the fact that he is flashy he is seen as this big time prospect. if the judges gave njok and pierson those decisions, nobody would be talking about barboza. hell, he might have gotten cut after an 0-2 start in the UFC. but because of a couple judges instead of being out of the UFC he is being talked about in the same sentence as Jose Aldo  .

I thought etim was a striker. Not a great one but still a striker.

12 of his 15 wins are by submission

See Donale Cerrone. 28-0-1 World Muay Thai Champion.

Oh, I've seen him

For right now i gotta say Aldo,

but you never know, these two would strike it out most likely and that can go either direction.

aldo vs bigger wrestlers would be more interesting

barboza is not much different in size to aldo
and very similar in style, but aldo is in another league of skill

why would it be a catchweight?
people are saying that aldo is a natural 155er anyway.

If barboza takes out a top contender I might change my mind, but barboza got beat by ross pearson that night and I couldn't care less who thinks I'm wrong about that. If they were anywhere else other than brazil ross would've got the W. Not that I'm saying ross is a bad fighter but come on, aldo could potentially pick this guy apart from what I saw at ufc 134.

Everyone is so stuck on riding aldo's dick that your beign completely ignorant of how amazing barboza is. He outstruck Ross Pearson and Njokuani, two of the best strikers in the lightweight divsion. In response to people dogging Terry Etim, you obviously haven't watched any of his fights, just because 13 of his wins come by submission does not mean he's not a striker, he has phenomenol striking, which was even evident in his fight against Barboza. He uses strikes to set up submissions because he has a great killer instinct. A large amount of Fedor's wins we're also by submission, but he was (is) known for his striking, see what I'm getting at here? Mark my words, Barboza will make a run at the title, I've watched all his fights; he has stellar tdd and jaw dropping muay thai. I strongly believe Barboza would do very well against aldo, and if you know a thing or two, you would realize that as well.

Kay for one, he dropped pierson twice and second, he walked all over njokuani. Both of these fighters are STELLAR strikers. He has amazing accomplishments in muay thai and jiu jitsu. I can already tell your a hater because of your comparison of his fight to page and machida, a fight which rampage WON, yes, WON. Watch the fight and score it, page will take the cake everytime, you know why? Because he won 2 of the 3 rounds definitively. Dana white even addressed the fight soon after stating he firmly believed rampage won; and he did. Same with Barboza, he had two extremely tough fights and won, beating two of the best strikers in the division at their own game, now try and tell me that's not amazing. In a kickboxing match, Njokuani or Pearson would beat edgar everytime, so Barboza's striking is nothing to be overlooked. I'll be waiting to say I told you so when he mops the floor with edgar in the future.

I personally think the jury is still out on Barboza. I'd like to see him against high level guys. Now it looks like Frankie will get his rematch, so let Barboza fight Showtime
